Hi friends! Halloween is so soon and I am getting really excited! I know this year isn’t the same because of COVID, but I am determined to still make it a great Halloween with Avery. We have been doing little things to help her get excited for Halloween and one of the things we have been doing to celebrate is filling her book shelves with some Halloween books so we can read them together. She has loved this so much that every morning or night she asks to read a couple of the books. So today's post is going to be about the books I have chosen and read for my toddler and would recommend. There is nothing better than reading with your little one and Avery has been enjoying it more than ever recently! So I hope you find this post helpful and that it gets you excited for Halloween!

This book is my favorite! The illustration and story is amazing and I find us reading this one the most! She loves the story of the cat, kitten and peekaboo cutouts through the book. This book would be great for Fall or Halloween. I bought this book to be a special keepsake that we can hopefully keep forever. I had my husband and I sign it and date it for her :)

Avery loves all of the Karen Katz books so this book was a must! We try to buy a new one of her books for every holiday or occasion. She loves the lift-the-flaps through out the book and how interactive it is.

I purchased this one because it was shaped like a cat and since she is a cat fan I knew she would love it! It is a short story, but cute and perfect for Halloween. I love that this is a great option if she isn’t really in the mood to read a longer book.

This is the only book on the list that I have not purchased, but wish I would have! We already had so many other books so we decided to forgo it. But I wanted to mention it because it is just too cute and if your toddler is a Mickey/Minnie fan then this book is perfect! I still regret not picking this one up. It has lift-the-flaps through the book.

Creepy Carrots!

This is a book my husband actually picked out and it is a bit spookier. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is really good. I like that it is a little bit on the creepier side, but not too scary, at least not in our eyes. But if your little one spooks easily this one might not be for you. My daughter loved it because she is a BIG bunny fan.

This is a great book for learning to count with your little one! I also really like there are hidden cats on every page so we can find them together, she always has so much fun with this one!

So those are all the books that we currently have for Halloween or that I would have picked up and still might. I hope you found this post helpful and maybe got a few ideas! There is still plenty of time to order any of these if you are looking for a good Halloween book. All of them can be found on Amazon to keep it easy. Thanks so much for reading!

Nicole
